Li-Ba-Dai was founded in 1948, initially starting with wax paper (oil printing). In response to the changing times, the founder, Mr. Wang Songzhen, foresaw the opportunity and introduced pencil manufacturing technology from Japan, creating Taiwan's first "88 Pencil." This instantly became an iconic legend in the stationery industry. Later, to meet the demands of the stationery market, Li-Ba-Dai introduced Japanese and Korean brands for sale in Taiwan, gradually transforming into a new era and leading the stationery industry to rise to another peak. Li-Ba-Dai's long-term efforts have been widely recognized, making it a well-known, long-lasting enterprise. Since 1966, when the founder, Mr. Wang Songzhen, was elected as an honorary manager and received a meeting with Vice President Chen Cheng, Li-Ba-Dai, the enterprise itself, and its products have continuously received recognition and various awards from different fields. These include the Golden Trademark Award, the Outstanding Product First Brand Award, the Outstanding Brand Entrepreneur, the Cloud Enterprise, Cloud Stationery, the China Golden Signboard Manufacturer Award, and in 2006, it was awarded as a Taiwan Superbrand by the British Superbrands organization, among many others. This showcases Li-Ba-Dai's significant contribution as a character in Taiwan's economic miracle. Adhering to the corporate philosophy of "Integrity and Responsibility, Respect for Mutual Benefit, Happy Innovation, and Challenging Excellence," Li-Ba-Dai insists on producing high-quality products. By providing diverse choices and customized services, it has gained the favor of consumers and continues to contribute to Taiwan's stationery market. The veteran Li-Ba-Dai factory in Taoyuan, which has been in operation since its founding, was renovated and reintroduced to the public in 2019 as the "Li-Ba-Dai Colorful Pen Creative Center." This marks the first reconstruction and operational example in the Guishan Industrial Zone. Visitors are welcome to step into this last remaining pencil manufacturing factory in Taiwan and experience the cultural creativity of colorful pen stationery, as well as enjoy meals, shopping, and a pleasant living experience.
