澎湖縣七美鄉頂隙北面海崖下
Simplified Chinese Japanese English Korean 石滬 is a unique cultural landscape in Penghu and also a crystallization of the wisdom of Penghu’s ancestors. The ancestors built stone walls for catching fish in the intertidal zone using basalt and coral reefs, trapping fish groups inside the walls by exploiting the difference in sea level between high and low tides. This traditional trap fishing method shows the interdependence of the people of Penghu with the sea, and the Double‑Heart Stone Wall earns its name from the two heart‑shaped stone walls it contains. The Double‑Heart Stone Wall in Qimei Township, Penghu, is located in the Top Gap of Donghu Village and is also known as “Top‑Gap Wall.” It is made up of two stone walls forming a heart shape; looking down from above, the head and tail connect, creating a romantic scene of two linked hearts. It is one of the best-preserved stone walls among many in Penghu. To view the Double‑Heart Stone Wall, it is recommended to first check the daily low‑tide times to ensure you can see the complete heart shape.
