The main deity: Saint Hou, the Master of the Virtuous Gathering, also known as Yan Village. The residents consist of two parts, the Yan and Lu families. Lu Ruo Teng, who served as the Minister of the Board of War during the late Ming Dynasty, was from the Virtuous Gathering. The Taian Temple was originally built during the Ming Dynasty. The old Jinmen Records mention that there was a Minister's Shrine in the Virtuous Gathering, which enshrined the late Ming Minister Wang Zhongxiao, as well as the retired scholars of the Ming Dynasty, Zeng Ying, Shen Chenquan, Xu Jizhu, Gu Chaoshan, Xu Fuyuan, and Guo Zhenyi. Therefore, it was also called the Temple of the Seven Virtuous Men. All seven were scholars and officials who had settled in Jinmen during the late Ming Dynasty. Today's Taian Temple enshrines Saint Hou as the guardian deity of the area, and also mainly enshrines Guangze Zunwang, Bao Sheng Da Di, Chi Fu, Jin Fu Wangye, Liuxing Fu, and Su Wangye.
