The KANO Park in Chiayi City was completed in August 2017, allowing everyone to rediscover the proud baseball history of Chiayi City. The park features an outdoor music theater and a baseball sculpture area opposite the Family Education Center, with copper baseball bats and glove-shaped seats. The ground is embedded with stone slabs that, upon closer inspection, feature quotes from the movie "KANO", such as "A papaya tree with no retreat will surely grow delicious fruit" and "There is no shortcut to playing good baseball, only hard practice". The "Baseball Century Avenue", stretching 40 meters wide and 180 meters long, was the route that the Chiayi Farmers' Baseball Team would take to the stadium. The stone slabs on the ground and the Baseball Hall of Fame wall alongside it carefully present the history of the team's origins, introducing the 16 players who made it to the runner-up of the Summer Koshien in 1931. The 4-ton, 5-meter-diameter KANO scenic ball, made of aluminum alloy and embedded with over 120 hollow rings, is a must-see attraction. It shines with sunlight during the day and displays a colorful light show at night, each with a unique charm. The spot is also perfect for playing with perspective photography, where you can take creative photos by placing the ball in your hand or kicking it in a playful manner, from various angles.
