The golden sands stretch for more than 200 meters, and as far as the eye can see, there is an endless expanse of blue and white. The wide view is refreshing, with golden beaches and stretches of emerald green horse’s‑tail vines intertwining among the waves. Golden sunlight glints off the azure waters, and the sea here is exceptionally clear. When you arrive at this sun‑kissed beach for a swim, you’ll find two low, eye‑catching ancient houses along the embankment and within most modern buildings. These ancient houses are laid out side by side, their muted, earthy tones standing out sharply in contrast. Though not ornate, the architecture feels rich in character and meaning—these are the “Shanshui” ancient houses, with a history of almost a century. It is said that the original village once had three such houses, built by three brothers from the Shanshui village. One of them has since been converted into a metal‑roofed building and is still inhabited, while the other two remain vacant. The back of these houses is built with rough stones, while the upper half is constructed of a mix of crushed stone and cement. The corners are reinforced with interlocking bricks, giving the buildings a sturdy appearance, and there are some decorative tiles. Unfortunately, without residents or maintenance, many of the tiles have collapsed. These ancient houses face the mountains, water, and beach.
