Zheng Fengshi was born with two different feet. His right foot was bent in all directions, and his left foot was withered below the knee. His mother fainted at the sight, worried that their impoverished family could not afford to raise him. However, Zheng persevered and lived a strong and independent life, graduating from university and achieving success. He wrote a book, "A Boat in the Vast Ocean," detailing his difficult childhood and struggles to pursue his education. The book became a bestseller, selling over a million copies, and was adapted into a film, inspiring the hearts of people in society. Zheng was also elected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young People, setting an example for young people with disabilities to strive for excellence and never give up. Although Zheng's former residence is a simple three-sided courtyard, it still retains many artifacts and objects that he used, including books and musical instruments. The preservation of this site focuses on its historical and cultural value, as well as the spirit of the place, aiming to promote Zheng's indomitable spirit of struggle.
