In the development history of the old city area in Taipei, "Jiachen Roundabout" has played an important role. At that time, it was like the heart of the Daqizi area. Located at the convergence point of Chongqing North Road, Nanjing West Road, Ningxia Road, and Tianshui Road, it not only promoted the prosperity of local commerce and industry, but also extended to the surrounding old Jiachen area, becoming the cradle of many successful business people. After many historical changes, from the ancient site of the Daqizi Roundabout air-raid water tank discovered during the foundation excavation of the reconstruction project in 2002, to the delicious food memories of Jiachen Roundabout. Today, Jiachen Roundabout has transformed into an urban oasis. In addition to preserving the original well, it will build a fountain, leisure area, and an urban green space. It will also incorporate four public art pieces donated by the foundation to commemorate the past and look forward to the future. This allows busy citizens to cultivate their minds and bodies through art pieces, enhance cultural dialogue with citizens, and provide a space for recreation, play, remembrance, and reflection, contributing to the prosperity and development of the western district.
