The Zhou family began cultivating and harvesting tea since their first generation of tea-making ancestors, and their tea-making tradition has now continued for seven generations. The sixth generation, Mr. Zhou Ching-zong (Board Member of the Taiwan National Tea Artisans Union and Board Member of the New Taipei City Tea Artisans Association), has perfected the art of tea-making to a masterful level. He participates in tea-making competitions, has received numerous awards, and generously shares his techniques with fellow industry professionals. He also teaches his descendants.
Currently, the family specializes in producing Da Yu Ling tea, Li Mountain tea, Shanlin溪 tea, high-mountain black and green teas, including the renowned Biluochun (Green Tea King). From garden management to harvesting, processing, and production, every step is personally supervised on-site. The Zhou family is likely the only tea grower in Double N (New Taipei and Taipei) personally manufacturing tea in three major regions: Da Yu Ling, Li Mountain, and Shanlin溪. The yield per batch in each region ranges from approximately 2,000 to 4,000 piculs, varying based on the area. About 95% of the tea is sold to tea shops and traders, while the highest quality batches are reserved for retail sales. Therefore, consumers purchasing the tea can be assured of top-grade quality, as customers consistently praise the exceptional value for money.
