Jiayi Dongshi is famous for fresh oysters. The owner is from Dongshi, and the oysters are freshly delivered every day from his hometown. The restaurant is known for seafood porridge, oyster fried rice, and oyster pancake. The seafood porridge contains shrimp, fish, clams, and squid, and the seasoning is hot and flavorful. Oyster fried rice is more difficult than regular fried rice, as oysters release water, making it hard to control the moisture level. Any slight loss of control will make the rice look messy.



Outside the store is a food cooking stall, where the grilled fish belly, clams, shrimp, squid, and oysters are neatly lined up, waiting to be cooked, which is quite impressive. The grilled fish belly is quite thick, obviously specially selected. Due to the rich fat content in the fish belly, frying or grilling can better bring out the flavor of the fat, which is worth trying.
