The shop was founded by the first-generation boss Chen Liangxi near Longshan Temple in 1921, and has now been around for nearly a century. The signature squid soup uses squid with a crisp, elastic texture. The soup stock is made from fish ball broth, thickened with a slurry, and garnished with a few leaves of cilantro and a few drops of black vinegar, giving it a rich, fresh flavor. For those who want more variety in taste, you can choose the mixed soup with squid ring and fish cracker, or pair it with stir-fried rice noodles or freshly fried burdock tempura.
