新北市坪林區坪雙公路
The Beishi River Bikeway was once voted the most beautiful and shortest bike path in northern Taiwan, offering stunning views of “riverside scenery and tea-garden landscapes” along the Beishi River. It stretches roughly 2.3 km. The trailhead sits at about the 1 km mark on the Ping-Shuang Highway, beneath the elevated ramp of the Pinglin Interchange next to the Pinglin Traffic Control Center. A broad bikeway and pedestrian path follow the lower Kengzihkou Creek, with interpretive signs along the way introducing common local birds and fish. The route ends at Chaxiangdi Campground; the one-way walk from Kengzihkou takes about 40 minutes and is flat and easy, perfect for families, young and old. On the Beishi River Bikeway you’ll see the area’s unique elevated tea-field bike bridge and landscapes treasured for millennia—an experience both soothing and restorative.
