Simplified Chinese Japanese English Korean Qingshu Wetland is located on the northern coast of Huxi Township, and is one of the important ecologically sensitive areas as well as a national-level wetland. It is divided into four zones from north to south, including Qingshu Sahu Coast Zone, mangrove restoration zone, Qingshu fish pond habitat, and Honglu Bay intertidal zone. It covers a large area with diverse coastal wetland types such as reef and gravel coast, beach and mud coast, as well as mangroves, tidal pools, sandbars, and fish ponds, making it a nationally significant wetland. The freshwater source here comes from the Tiger Head Mountain flowing through the Qingshu settlement, out to sea from Luojing Mountain to the south, where sediment gradually accumulates on the shallow shore, forming the current vast coastal wetland. In the 1990s, the Penghu County Government restored mangroves around the wetland, subsequently planting three species of mangroves with good results, gradually forming a forest that has become Penghu’s largest mangrove wetland. In addition to being Penghu’s largest mangrove restoration area, Qingshu Wetland is also one of the important bird habitats in Penghu, hosting over a hundred bird species and thousands of wintering or migratory birds each year, and possessing rich natural and cultural ecological resources. 【Suggested Length of Stay】 1 hour
