Jiangjun Island is primarily composed of siliceous basalt, and its surface is flat, making it a typical basalt hill. It is only about one nautical mile away from Wang An Yu, with a sailing time of roughly five minutes. In its early years, the island prospered from coral and stone collection, and the fishing port streets were lined with small houses, earning the nickname "Little Hong Kong." This island is also one of the few places in Penghu that began building houses in the early days, which is why there are many two-, three-, and four-story houses here. In addition, there are many narrow alley old houses and traditional canned food shops. Today, most island residents make a living from fishing. The low, old fishing village by the harbor, Penghu’s stunning coral and marine life are preserved because of care and love. The island has four main temples: Jiangjun Temple, Yong'an Palace, Tianhou Temple, and Jiangjun Worship Hall. Tianhou Temple was built by donations from the island residents, and it once set the Penghu record for the most money spent, the largest number of banquet feasts, and the fastest completion time. Here you can see superb stone carving craftsmanship. A round trip around Jiangjun Island offers a distant view of Lian Island "Chuan Fan Yu," a basalt island about 25 meters high. A pavilion is set up on top, where you can relax and unwind. Lian Island is also an important gathering spot for sea fishing enthusiasts. 【Recommended stay time】 2 hours or overnight
