The butterfly garden located near the Sun Moon Lake Youth Activity Center features a winding wooden path that follows the hillside's natural terrain, with host plants for butterfly larvae and nectar source plants cultivated along the way to attract butterflies in graceful flight. Interpretive signs along the trail offer detailed information on various butterfly species and plants. The area includes a butterfly enclosure, a pond with aquatic plants, and spans approximately 0.8 hectares. Visitors may freely access the site for exploration, making it an ideal location for school field trips.
