During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Lukang already had eight commercial guilds known as "Shieh," equivalent to today's trade associations. The Rimao Hall of Lukang was also referred to as "Ri Miao" (Temple of the Sun) and was the largest merchant enterprise among the Quanzhou guild. From the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty until the 20th year of the Daoguang period (1840), it was the most affluent in Lukang. The Lin family of Rimao Hall was the leading family among the eight guilds, being philanthropically inclined and generous with charity. In the 42nd year of the Qianlong reign (1777), they contributed funds to establish *Jingyi Yuan*, a charitable organization in Lukang, to collect scrap paper, establish common cemeteries, bury the remains of unidentified individuals, and maintain bridges, bringing benefits to the local community and becoming the most influential charitable organization of that time. Additionally, Rimao Hall participated in the relocation of the Dragon Mountain Temple of Lukang to its current site and the construction of the *Mazu Temple* (now known as *Xin Zu Gong*) during the 52nd year of the Qianlong reign (1787). The contributions and achievements of Rimao Hall to Lukang are still sung and praised there to this day.
