The main deity worshipped at the Yonghe Baofu Temple is the Emperor of Peace, who has been enshrined there for over 200 years, originating from the Dadinglong Bao'an Temple. The temple has a long history and is renowned for its prosperity and is a sacred site for the people of the Shuanghe area to pray for peace, good fortune, and spiritual solace. The temple was rebuilt in 2011, and its architecture features a multi-eaved hip-and-gable style. The intricate carvings on the temple's roof, the wooden sculptures on the ceiling, the stone carvings on the dragon pillars, and the paintings on the walls are all exquisitely crafted and showcase a rich cultural and artistic value. Many early immigrants to the Yonghe area were from Quanzhou and thus were devout believers in the Emperor of Peace. At that time, residents had to travel to the Bao'an Temple in Dadinglong, Taipei, to worship the Emperor of Peace. The journey was not only long but also perilous, as the residents had to cross rivers without bridges. Therefore, the residents of Yonghe saved and pooled their resources to build the temple and enshrined a branch of the Emperor of Peace from the Bao'an Temple.
