The Protector Temple of the Zhangzhou People - Shengwang Temple, a National Cultural Heritage Site. Also known as Weihui Palace (Shengwang Temple), its construction dates back to the 11th year of Emperor Yongzheng's reign in the Qing dynasty (1732). It was later destroyed by fire during Chen Zhouquan's military conflict and underwent restoration during the Jiaqing and Guangxu eras. This is an ancient temple dedicated to Chen Yuanguang, the venerated Saint-King of Zhangzhou, and served as a guardian temple for the Zhangzhou people within the city of Changhua County, historically functioning as a central place of worship for them. Chen Yuanguang, a figure from the Tang dynasty, came from Guangzhou, Henan, to Fujian, and for his contributions to the development of Zhangzhou, was enfeoffed as Weihui Shengwang (Venerable Saint-King of Weihui).
