Established in March 1949, the original name was "Taiwan Provincial Government Secretariat Printing Factory," under the jurisdiction of the Taiwan Provincial Government Secretariat. On July 1, 1999, due to "province streamlining," it was reorganized under the Ministry of Finance and renamed "Ministry of Finance Printing Factory," marking exactly one century of operations. The main business includes the printing, sales, and prize redemption of uniform invoices, as well as printing services for government reports, publications, forms, confidential documents, account books, vouchers, tax bills, securities, and other items for various government agencies, schools, and financial and taxation units, as well as undertaking commissioned projects from various government agencies. Over the course of its operations, the printing factory has undergone continuous transformations in its operational model: from labor-intensive to capital-intensive and then to knowledge-intensive, with its operational core rapidly adjusting from production-oriented to marketing-oriented and then to service-oriented. Such rapid and agile evolution has enabled it to play a crucial role in stabilizing financial and taxation collection, particularly in undertaking the printing of uniform invoices for over 60 years, accompanying various stages of economic and social development. It carries rich symbolic meaning of economic and social culture and has produced many historically and uniquely significant print materials, such as consumer voucher gift bags and anti-counterfeiting printing application technologies, showcasing innovative characteristics that keep pace with the times and possessing unique industrial cultural significance. The Taiwan Printing Exploration Museum is the first printing industry tourist factory in Taiwan and the first to open the invoice printing process to the public, allowing both adults and children to gain insights and have fun while learning. With the mission of industrial heritage and educational inspiration, through interactive and experiential games, visitors can learn about the origins of characters, how printing changed the world, the secrets of winning uniform invoices, magical printing effects, and experience the usage of ancient rotary machines. We aim to present the beauty of printing to everyone and invite you to come to the "Taiwan Printing Exploration Museum" to become good friends with our printing Gutenberg! * For more information, please visit the official website of the printing factory.
