The Left Bank Park is located along the Tamsui River, stretching about 280 meters. It was originally called the Hsimen Riverside Park. It is the first entrance to the Left Bank of BaLi after the area has been redeveloped, restoring the natural beauty and cultural features of BaLi. It is a comprehensive park featuring both tourism and leisure. After the redevelopment of the Left Bank of BaLi, the originally simple green area now has many facilities, including a bicycle path, wooden walkways, and even a carriage path. Visitors can take a walk on the sandy and gravel beaches, feeling the contact with nature. During low tide, you can catch crabs and dig for clams, and have fun playing in the water and sand. There is also a washing station nearby for washing your feet, which is very thoughtful.
In addition to many recreational and sports facilities, the park also has a Sustainable Environmental Education Center, which includes a tourist information center providing travel information, as well as an open-air coffee shop where you can sit by the water and enjoy a relaxing "Left Bank Coffee." It has a wide open grassy area where you can enjoy the view of the entire Tamsui River. The park includes important facilities such as the Left Bank Wharf, Left Bank Pavilion, and the New Taipei City Public Bicycle Rental Station, making it an ideal place for a family outing on weekends.
