澎湖縣馬公市介壽路7號
The Guanyin Pavilion Resting Area is a multifunctional waterfront leisure park that blends history and modernity. In addition to the historically significant Guanyin Pavilion, the park features newly built waterfront recreation areas, an international sailing competition center, a children's playground, a bike-friendly running track, a basketball court, an ice-skating rink, and a pet park, providing residents of Magong with a place to rest, exercise, and enjoy ocean views. The Guanyin Pavilion is located next to the Youth Activity Center, built in the 35th year of Emperor Kangxi’s reign (1687). It primarily enshrines the Bodhisattva Guanyin and was destroyed by French forces during the French War. After multiple restorations, it has been revived and is listed as a county‑designated historical site. Adjacent to the Guanyin Pavilion are the Wan Chao Pavilion, Jiao Shou Pavilion, Dolphin Pavilion, and Huai En Pavilion, collectively known as the “Four Pavilions by the Sea.” Visitors can stand at the Wan Chao Pavilion to admire the tidal beauty of the Taiwan Strait or go to the Jiao Shou Pavilion to enjoy sunsets over Xiyu. The Dolphin Pavilion in the Guanyin Pavilion Resting Area is a striking landmark, where waves cradle a pair of dolphins swimming towards each other, symbolizing the dolphins that roam the Penghu coast. Huai En Pavilion commemorates former President Chiang Kai-shek, and is worth a visit. Across from the Guanyin Pavilion, the “Xiying Rainbow Bridge”—a steel arch bridge—glows with multicolored lights at night, casting reflections on the sea that add a romantic atmosphere. The Xiying Rainbow Bridge has also become a launch site for the Penghu Fireworks Festival in recent years. Tourists can visit on the evening of the festival, sit on the shore near the Guanyin Pavilion Dolphin Pavilion, and enjoy the magnificent night scenery of the rainbow bridge paired with fireworks. **Suggested Length of Stay:** 2 hours
