Introduction The Lanyang Creek Mouth Leisure Agricultural Area is located in the Jinzhong Village, Jixin Village, and part of the Xiaowei Village in Yilan County's Wujie Township, situated in the northeastern part of the township. It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the east and the Lanyang Creek to the north, with the Taiwan Provincial Highway 2 (Coastal Highway) passing through it, covering an area of 572.46 hectares. The Lanyang Creek Mouth is rich in natural resources, with its estuary formed by the sedimentation of the Lanyang Creek, Dongshan River, and Yilan River, making it a habitat for various fish species, including eels, and a wintering ground for migratory birds. Experience Activities We offer activities centered around the theme of "fish, shrimp, rice, and vegetables." These activities include experiences such as white shrimp and grouper farming, as well as fishing and catching, allowing participants to experience the life of a fisherman. Additionally, we offer fun farm activities featuring rice, watermelon, green onion, and garlic as the main attractions. Combining the rich natural ecological resources of the Lanyang Creek Mouth, our guided tours utilize slow-paced bicycles as a mode of transportation, leading the public through the Green Guardian Forest, a protected forest, to conduct ecological explanations. Along the way, participants will be accompanied by the Pacific Ocean and Turtle Island. The tour content includes: visiting white shrimp breeding pools to learn the secrets of delicious white shrimp from experts, leisurely shrimp fishing fields, and simple piers for fishing trips on the Dongshan River. When there are enough participants, they can also experience the popular fishing village life of pulling nets. For those seeking a more leisurely experience, the fishermen's hostel offers a single-log canoeing activity, allowing participants to appreciate the sounds of insects and birds in the reed forests while on the water. Alternatively, visitors can participate in the herb garden tour, make steamed buns or green onion and meat pies, and enjoy multiple farm activities at once.
