The Taipei Water Source Museum – the pumping chamber of the original water source for Taipei – located by the Xindian Creek and Siyuan Street, has its main structure built in 1908, with a history of nearly a century to date.
The architecture's most distinctive feature is a Baroque-style building combining neoclassical elements as its main axis. The interior arrangements hold historical significance, with each piece of equipment symbolizing the evolution of water supply and embodying abundant cultural value.
The Water Source Museum officially opened for public visits in 2000. Due to its unique European-style architectural appearance and its historical and educational importance, it has now become one of the most popular attractions for municipal authorities, educational groups, promotional campaigns, and newlyweds taking wedding photos.
