Villagers selected a low-lying area and settled according to the mountain's contour, building towers as mountain spirit anchors to expel negative energy from invading the village. Another legend states that a villager from the Hsu family, while digging a hillside with a hoe, disturbed a mountain spirit, causing mental illness and delusional speech. Following guidance from Lord Wenfu, a stone tower was erected to subdue the mountain spirit, ensuring residents' safety and protection. The iron-cast stone pagoda is situated on the western hill of Xiaomen Village, serving as a navigational guide for fishing boats entering and exiting the harbor.
