Dinghu Lake is located beside Shizhuo, and is one of the important eco-tourism sites planned by the Alishan National Scenic Area Management Bureau in recent years. The lake's ring trail features Mengzong bamboo forest trail, natural primitive forest boardwalks, and trace fossils, suitable for 1 to 2 hours of hiking and strolling. From the No. 18 Taiwan Highway 66K, about 100 meters before the Mihu Trail, turn left and go up about 4 kilometers before turning into Dinghu Lake. The view here is open, and local farmers can often be seen working in the tea plantations, with mountain mist rolling in from between the layers of mountains. In the park, one can walk along the trail to the pavilion and Mengzong bamboo forest. Another primitive wooden trail leads to Mt. Dazong. There is a boulder in front of the pavilion, which the locals call the Guanyin Stone. The surface of the stone still retains trace fossils.
