The Yü Ta-wei Memorial, with its elegant gray bricks and green tiles, is an elegant and serene building. Entering the museum, the first thing you see is a half-body statue of Mr. Yü Ta-wei. The couplet, "A remarkable man who is erudite and martial, a true gentleman who stands alone," clearly describes his personality, showing him to be a person of both literary and military talent. During the August 23rd artillery battle, Mr. Yü not only systematically reorganized the army, but also personally went to the front line to fight with his fellow soldiers. He was highly respected by the public during his lifetime. In addition to detailing Mr. Yü Ta-wei's hobbies and contributions during the war, the museum also displays various medals, among which the "Sun and Moon Medal," known as the "immunity gold medal," is the most attractive. The Yü Ta-wei Memorial is located next to the August 23rd War History Museum, Rongyuan, and Weilu. After visiting the memorial, visitors can also take a walk to these sites to gain a deeper understanding of Jinmen's status and evolution during the war period.
