Hakanni Mountain has an elevation of 1988 meters. It used to be a hunting ground for the Atayal people. To this day, the forest remains well-preserved, beautiful and charming. Not long after the initial climb, one can get a good view of the Luchang Tribe from the ridge. Towards the end of the middle section of the ridge, one can even see the outlet of the Zhonggang River, and the bridge on the Western Coastal Highway. Furthermore, since Hakanni Mountain is located inland and at a high altitude, it is seldom hit by strong winds. Therefore, the mountain is often shrouded in mist. Walking in the mist, one can feel as if they have entered a mystical and ethereal realm.
