Tajin Moroccan Cuisine is the only authentic Moroccan restaurant in all of Taipei City. The chef and owner, Hicham (nickname "Old Chen"), has been in Taiwan for many years. He opened Tajin Moroccan Cuisine in order to bring the most authentic hometown dishes to Taiwanese people. "Tajin" means clay pot and the dishes cooked in clay pots in Moroccan. Due to the lack of water resources in the region, special-shaped and functionally beautiful pots have been developed. The large triangular pot lid creates space for the moisture of the ingredients to circulate inside the pot, fully bringing out the flavor of the ingredients while preserving the precious moisture, keeping the original taste and nutrition of the ingredients. The dishes are slowly stewed with various Moroccan spices and meats, and are usually served with Pita bread. The spices used in Tajin dishes include precious saffron, fennel, Hungarian paprika, and others. The meat used is also Halal-certified.
