Dakeng Scenic Area - Mountain Trail Guide
Dakeng Scenic Area is an important recreational space for the spiritual tranquility of Taichung citizens, a venue for mountain climbers to connect with nature and exercise, and a popular tourist attraction in central Taiwan. On ordinary days or holidays, it is common to see groups of friends and families exploring the area together, making it a shared backyard for the people of Taichung. The most distinctive feature of the area is its 14 mountain trails. Trails 1 to 8 were opened in the early 70s and were built according to the natural terrain of Dakeng Mountain and its intersecting streams, with the highest elevation reaching 859 meters at Toujia Mountain. Trail 9 was opened in December 2005, Trail 10 was completed in March 2008, and Trail 9-1 was completed in November 2013.

Length: Approximately 1.6 kilometers
Features: This trail is located in a forest area. Along the way, it passes by orchards, bamboo groves, and crosses two stream valleys. The trail is characterized by a humid climate on the mountain, allowing hikers to discover a variety of fern species and abundant original natural ecological resources, creating a diverse landscape.
