Hua Jiang Wharf

2017-07-04
The Huajiang Wharf located in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, is one of the stops in the "Blue Road" project of the New Taipei Water Resources Bureau. It is also the confluence of the Tamsui River and the Xindian Creek. Many people ride bicycles here, enjoying the riverside scenery. In addition, there is a large mural on the wall facing the wharf, creating a beautiful scenery that combines culture and nature. If someone wants to ride a bicycle on the spot, they can directly rent a bicycle from the nearby bicycle rental station!

At the Huajiang Wharf, you can see many people sitting on the steps near the riverbank, chatting or quietly watching the river or the water bus. It is a relaxed and pleasant place. The unique feature of the Huajiang Wharf is its eight colorful fixed piles. In order to echo the nearby Huajiang Wildfowl Nature Park, the wind speed indicator device on the top of the piles is designed in the shape of wildfowl. Whenever the wind blows, you can see the wind speed indicator spinning rapidly, which actually looks a bit like a cute little windmill!

The Huajiang Wharf gives people a relaxed and pleasant feeling. It's actually a great choice to find a leisurely afternoon here, sit quietly, and spend some time.
