Among the several sausage shops on Chengfu Road, the Tucheng Li Xikou Black Pork Sausage is a long-established specialty store known among food connoisseurs for its distinctive texture. The shop is always bustling with visitors every weekend, where people stand to eat and wait patiently in line to buy sausages to take home, enhancing Li Xikou's reputation as a celebrated culinary destination. The owner started making sausages over 30 years ago using black-haired pigs from Tucheng. Selling roasted sausages at roadside stands for passersby, he later introduced what remains the only "boneless black pork sausage" exclusive to Taiwan, available in seven unique flavors: original, spicy, black pepper, garlic, red yeast rice, five-spice, and sorghum wine. The sausages are renowned for their precise fat-to-lean ratio, ensuring each link maintains balanced oiliness, resulting in deliciously roasted treats.
