Jinshan Old Street, also known as Jinbao Li Old Street, is the only remaining old street from the Qing dynasty on the North Coast, with a history of over 300 years. It was once the main distribution center for agricultural and fishery products for the residents of Jinbao Li. When visiting Jinbao Li Old Street, one cannot miss the super popular duck meat stall at the entrance of Guang'an Temple, which features a self-service culture of serving dishes, forming a unique local landscape. Whether you prefer sweet or savory food, Jinshan Old Street can satisfy the taste buds of the masses. In the past, Jinshan Old Street was a distribution center for fishery and agricultural products in the Jinshan area. Due to changes in the provincial highway and traffic flow, the city center of Jinshan shifted to Zhongshan Road, causing Jinbao Li Street to gradually decline. However, this also preserved traditional shops such as barbershops, rice shops, fabric shops, and grocery stores, giving the old street a unique nostalgic flavor. There are many historic and popular foods, as well as local specialty stores, including the "Jinbao Li Duck Meat" stall in front of the temple, "Shizi Lin Bakery" famous for its crispy and numb mahua, and handmade egg rolls, "Ayu Peanut Rice Cake" with its popular peanut flavor, and "Xuebao Ice City" with its fresh fruit and handmade ice cream. Also, don't miss the "拔絲地瓜" (拔絲地瓜), a specialty of Jinshan. Additionally, visiting Jinshan to soak in hot springs or hike on the Fish Road Trail are great activities to start the year, allowing you to cleanse your mind and body, and exercise your muscles.
