The MRT Park was the venue for the 2010 Taipei International Flower Expo, and has now been transformed into an urban park. The park area includes the Yuanshan Area, the Art Area, and the Xinsheng Area, planned for general park use, and utilizing the original flower expo exhibition halls as venues for various activities.
After the expo, some display areas such as the three-dimensional planting flower walls, shaped flower walls, seven-color rainbow, special exhibition area, landscape flower fields, exquisite flowers, and fruit tree areas were retained. The park also plans to plant mainly perennial flowering and foliage plants, and grass lawns, in order to preserve some of the flower expo imagery and richness, offering the public an open and green visual space. At the same time, it can also enhance the quality of the recreational environment. Moreover, due to its proximity to the MRT Yuanshan Station, it is convenient for holding events and exhibitions.
