Liaoning Park

2017-07-04
The surrounding of Liaoning Park are straight, tall coconut palms, adding a touch of Southeast Asian style to the park; within the park, the terrain changes with flower beds, and the gentle slopes of small hills add vertical rhythm to the space. The park has a children's play area with equipment and rocking toys, providing a playground for young children to play and exercise their limbs. The main plantings in the park are old, lush banyan trees with a long history, providing shade; in addition, purple wisteria with attractive foliage also surrounds the park area, and the changing leaf colors and glossy bark add variation to the park's greenery.   The protected old trees growing in Liaoning Park are estimated to be about 30 years old. These protected old trees are currently in their prime, and they have regional cultural and historical significance, like a familiar signboard in the park, located near the park entrance.     The park also has a rich variety of plantings, such as banyan trees, coconut palms, bamboo pines, camphor trees, sterculia, dwarf Australian pines, crotons, azaleas, lantanas, and golden dewdrops.     Park Facilities Overview: Garden Facilities: Flower pavilion. Rest Facilities: Park benches. Recreational Facilities: Combination play equipment, rocking toys. Sports Facilities: Upper limb pull-up bar.   Source: Department of Civil Affairs, Taipei City Government
