Bihu Park covers an area of about 13.1 hectares, adjacent to the National Kaohsiung University of Arts. The park features a large pond called Dapi Lake, covering about 7 hectares. In the past, it was used as an irrigation reservoir for agriculture. It was renovated into a park in 1987, and since then has become a recreational area for the surrounding residents.
The park has facilities such as a traditional Chinese pavilion, a meandering bridge, and a lakeside walking trail. The shores of the lake are planted with willows, bald cypresses, paperbarks, acacias, flame trees, hibiscus, rhododendrons, and dwarf poinsettias. In spring and summer, the flowers bloom profusely, and together with the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains, it is similar to the atmosphere of Dahu Park. In addition, the first floor of the park's management center has a reading room with seating for about 45 people, which provides a place for the public to study. There are also sports facilities such as a tennis court and a swimming pool. In addition to sightseeing and exercising, people can also fish and go hiking. There are six hiking trails in the park, and there are pavilions along the way for rest. The environment is very quiet.
