The Red River Valley is located at the intersection of the Jijiu Liao Creek and the Nanxi Creek, with clear and cool water, untouched by pollution. Fish and shrimp can be seen swimming freely in the water. From the red Jiujialiao Landscape Bridge, various strangely shaped giant rocks can be seen, contrasting with the green creek, creating a breathtaking scenery that earns the Red River Valley the reputation of "Little Taroko". The Red River, located in the Wulai District, was formerly known as "Jiujialiao". The Nanxi Creek flows through this area, creating a large bend. Under the effects of erosion and compression, the rocks on the riverbank tilt at a 45-degree angle. With a tributary nearby, a large area of tilted rock layers is formed, resembling a magnificent painting created by nature. This scenery always attracts travelers to stop and appreciate it. In addition to admiring the magnificent landscape of the Red River Valley, it is worth visiting the flat Jiujialiao Trail. The Jiujialiao Trail was converted from a former logging railway, with a total length of 2.1 kilometers, ending at the Wulai Tourist Bridge. The trail is gentle and flat, with trees providing shade on both sides, and rich natural ecology, including butterflies, blue-striped butterflies, small tree frogs, and pencil trees. It is suitable for taking a leisurely walk and enjoying the embrace of nature. Trail length: 2.1 kilometers Elevation: 145-155 meters Road conditions: Original mountain trail Walking time: 1-1.5 hours
