Rare Tangshan-style temple architecture, the County-Designated Cultural Asset Renhe Palace in Er-Lin, Changhua, is among the ancient Matsu temples. Said to have been founded in the early Qianlong era, the temple underwent renovation in the 47th year of the Qianlong reign (1782), with its structure connected to adjacent storefronts facing south. After multiple reconstruction efforts, it took on its current size in the 20th year of the Jiaqing reign (1815), and was restored again in the 14th year of the Taisho period and the 50th year of the Republic of China era to become the present-day architectural form. To the discerning eye, the temple's architectural subtleties reveal intricate design elements.
