Named after the chef and second-generation owner Ms. Liao Li-zhu, this is a 50-year-old traditional Chinese noodle shop known for its Taiwan-style fried pork ribs and vegetable noodles. Fried pork ribs are common street food, but at "Lizhu," they are the shop's most popular and best-selling dish. The pork ribs are made from fresh black pork tenderloin, which is pounded and massaged for over half an hour to make the meat tender. They are then marinated in a special sauce for two days to fully absorb the flavor. The meat is then lightly coated with a mixture of wheat flour, sweet potato flour, and cornstarch before being fried. The result is golden, crispy, and tender with a rich meaty aroma. It is so delicious that it needs no sauce, and its charm is irresistible.
