Longtou Mountain Recreation Area is located at 12 kilometers on County Road 132 in Maolin District. The area includes attractions such as Lao Ying Valley, Longtou Mountain Ring Stream Hill, Dona Bridge, Longtou Mountain Small Great Wall Trail, Dona High Suspension Bridge, and Snake Head Mountain. The Longtou Mountain Small Great Wall Trail is built along the mountain ridge, and the trail is gentle and easy to walk, making it suitable for the general public. The trail offers expansive views in the middle section, with distant mountain scenery in sight. Continuing down the trail leads to the Dona High Suspension Bridge, which is 232 meters long and was once a vital transportation route for the Dona Tribe. The bridge is adorned with colorful indigenous totem paintings, making it a striking and unique feature. This area is an excellent destination for weekend leisure and hiking. The Longtou Mountain Trail can be completed in a 30-minute walk, and if you're willing to spend an extra 30 minutes, you can hike to the Dona High Suspension Bridge to take in the beautiful scenery of the valley.
