The pan-fried bitter melon, Fótiàohuáng (requires reservation), and braised pork intestine are signature dishes at Meilì Restaurant. Meilì Restaurant was founded by Xu Meilì in her early 50s, and it is now handed over to the second generation, Xu Meilì's daughter, Huang Huizhen. Lunch is by reservation only, and the latest reservation needs to be made the day before. Due to the original menu only having dish names without prices, the public mistakenly thought there were no fixed prices. The restaurant stated that there are indeed fixed prices. To make the prices more transparent, they have started to make a physical menu with prices listed. The braised pork intestine, which is highly praised by old customers, was learned from a madam in a brothel. It uses mushrooms, pork intestines, and pork belly as the main ingredients, and is simmered with white radish as the broth base, making it fragrant and flavorful. The Fótiàohuáng is also a signature dish that must be ordered in advance during festivals and holidays.
