A self-service food stall located next to Exit 2 of the MRT Shuanglian Station, which has been in business since 1958. There are large pots of braised pork, braised eggs, and red-braised pork, large pots of beef balls, fish balls, and red meat soup, and dozens of plates of stir-fried meat and vegetables, offering a wide selection. The braised pork rice uses fatty pork from the pig's hind leg, simmered until the pork cubes are tender; it is poured over sticky and oily rice from Chisuo, paired with a bit of pickled vegetables, which effectively reduces the greasy feeling.
The red meat soup is as its name suggests, made from lean pork from the pig's hind leg, sliced into strips and coated with flour. The meat is firm and chewy, and when coated with thick soup, it feels smooth and delicious when eaten. It pairs well with braised pork rice, offering the classic taste of a Taiwanese breakfast, which is hard to beat.
