Worshipping deities and honoring ancestors is a traditional custom of the people. Holding a single incense stick and sincerely praying, the fragrant smoke rising slowly seems to link the human world and the divine. But do you know how complicated the production process is for just a single incense stick?
"Laomingyu" in Wanhua has a hundred-year history, and it possesses authentic incense-making techniques. Incense masters first spread out a bunch of thin bamboo sticks, then layer by layer apply the incense powder. To ensure even coverage, they have to constantly swing the bunch of incense in their hands, which requires considerable physical strength. In terms of materials, Laomingyu uses incense powder made from natural Chinese herbs, which is of better quality and does not harm the body's health when burned. This is the biggest feature of "Laomingyu Incense Shop," a tradition that has remained unchanged for hundreds of years.

Today, there are few incense masters in Taiwan who have the technique of making incense. Laomingyu preserves this tradition, hoping that it can continue as vigorously as the incense flames, being passed down from generation to generation.
