The trail is located behind Cingshuei Temple; its starting point sits beside the activity plaza of the Cingshuei Rock Garden and Cingshuei Temple itself. The entire route is a highly shaded forest path. The first section is a stair climb with luxuriant undergrowth on both sides; the latter part, though gently sloped, is so overgrown that the original wooden sleepers must be followed to stay on course. Rest pavilions are provided all along. Because the trail receives little human traffic, the forest grows naturally and is rich in nectar plants that attract butterflies and beetles, making it ideal for nature lovers and outdoor explorers.
