Xiaole Tian Dumpling House, formerly known as Tongfu Chai Rice Restaurant, was established by Mr. Du Yushan in 1953 at the intersection of Aiguo East Road and Boai Road as a northern-style restaurant. Due to relocation and environmental changes, Mr. and Mrs. Du established Xiaole Tian Dumpling House on Wuchang Street (Ximending Movie Street) in 1974. In 1979, Mrs. Du opened a branch at the current location of the new store. Subsequently, under the supervision of the older generation, the second-generation descendants renovated and reopened the restaurant. The second generation inherited the operational philosophy of their elders, carefully selecting ingredients, adding no preservatives or artificial colors, prioritizing freshness, and handcrafting dumplings, which has earned the appreciation and recognition of many locals.
