Introduction: Today's Xinshi Village was originally a sandy area. After 1949 (the 38th year of the Republic of China), a large number of troops were stationed in Kinmen. In 1954 (the 43rd year of the Republic of China), under the leadership of the military, the current Xinshi Street was built, encouraging the people to live and do business there. Due to the August 23rd Artillery Battle in 1958 (the 47th year of the Republic of China), many people who originally lived in the coastal villages of northern Kinmen migrated in large numbers, and the street of Xinshi rapidly prospered. "There can be no village without temples and ancestral halls." Since the community had already formed, temples were built accordingly. The Huguo Temple was founded in the 66th year of the Republic of China under such circumstances. The front part is the Great Hall of the Buddha, housing the Buddha Amitabha, Bodhisattva Guanyin, Bodhisattva Dizang, and two Bodhisattvas of Weituo. The second floor of the back hall is the Three Treasures Hall, housing the Buddha Sakyamuni, Bodhisattva Manjushri, and Bodhisattva Samantabhadra. Before the construction of the Zhongyi Temple, the Lord Guan was also enshrined in the right temple. In 2003 (the 92nd year of the Republic of China), the Huguo Temple was renovated and completed in 2006 (the 95th year of the Republic of China).
