金門縣893金城鎮中興路146巷1號
The Supreme Deity of the Heaven, known in the folk as "Lord of Heaven," also called "The Supreme Deity of the North Pole," or the Great Emperor Xuanwu. Since ancient times in China, the "Four Symbols" are known as "Blue Dragon of the East, White Tiger of the West, Vermilion Bird of the South, and Black Tortoise of the North." Because Taiwan is located in the Northern Hemisphere, people usually face south when living, so they have the habit of using left, right, front, and back to replace the four directions of east, west, south, and north. The Supreme Deity of Heaven is the North Star constellation, so temples are usually built on the northern side of towns and villages. The Temple of Beizhen enshrines the Lord of Heaven, who is the guardian deity of the Beifu North Gate area. In the 73rd year of the Republic of China, it was renovated once, and then rebuilt again in the 89th year of the Republic of China, forming its current appearance. The couplets: Main gate couplets: "Screening open Taigu, thousands of peaks emerald; Sitting倚 Gouchen, constellations encircling." Left gate couplets: "Recalling Wudang and Wuzhou, first in fame; Guarding the northern boundary, true transmission of the seaport." Right gate couplets: "Divine will opens the universe, exalting imperial virtue; Merit cultivates the golden palace, protecting the town and countryside." Front hall column couplets: "Water virtue flows through the ocean; Divine might shines bright over the southern sky." Left hall column couplets: "Positioning in the north, northern deserts, evil spirits all hide; Divine power of water, the world's rivers and ditches all show tenderness." Right hall column couplets: "Mighty guarding the Kan direction, the holy origin blesses the people and grants rank; Authority reverent to the North Pole, the true virtue alone resides in dignity." Inner hall column couplets: "Sword striking wind and thunder, heaven and earth move; Flag flipping sea and mountain, ghosts and gods respect." Inner hall column couplets: "Through thirty-six practices, morality is completed; With seventy-two transformations, the tortoise and snake are subdued." Shrine column couplets: "Virtue matches the celestial pivot, light on the imperial seat; The direction conforms to the Kan trigram, protecting the people's homes."
