Having operated for over half a century, it still retains the copper plate issued by the Taipei City Government for "Street Vendor Operating Permit": No. 234. The menu is simple, with wooden boards hanging on the wall listing: liver and meat, pork belly, pork jaw meat, fried tofu, pork intestines, and pork skin. With few items, the focus can be better placed on cooking.
In the 米苔目 (maito) soup, only oil-fried scallion and chives are visible, along with a very small number of dried shrimp. Nothing else. The soup is light in color, yet rich in flavor, clearly boiled from meat. The 米苔目 is plump and cute, easily broken with a light bite. Its texture is different from the usual chewy 米苔目 found elsewhere. Made from pure indica rice paste, it has a fresh rice aroma.
