The "Shihtou Mountain Park" is located on the Jinshan cape at an elevation of about 70 meters. Looking east, you can see the wild cat cape, and to the west, there is the sulfur harbor fishing port and the scenery of the mountain and sea of Zhongjiao. You can take in the "three major wonders of the Jinshan coast" all at once: the Candlestick Islets, the sulfur harbor fishing fires, and the moon reflected on the water at the water tail. Under long-term military control and protection, the ecological resources of Shihtou Mountain are complete and rich. In recent years, due to successful restoration, you can also encounter the beauty of Taiwan lilies or golden garlic flowers in bloom on the trails during different seasons. From an early military and coastal defense control area to a tourist destination, the old barracks, fortifications, artillery platforms, and original natural ecology still remain, making it a forest trail with three sides facing the sea and excellent views. The circular trail on Shihtou Mountain has trees on both sides that provide shade, making it cool and comfortable to walk, with a flat road surface suitable for a family outing. At the entrance, there is a "Maitreya Buddha - A Fu" with a super cute smile; don't forget to take a photo with it. Further in, you can appreciate the legendary story of the "Husband and Wife Rocks" and the "Candlestick Islets," which resemble two candles and are the best angle for photography from this viewing platform. Through the steel circular frame, the Candlestick Islets, a pair of sea-eroded stone pillars, are like a pair of hand-in-hand couples, also suitable for couples to take memorable photos. Additionally, you can enter the mysterious coast of the north coast and appreciate the tofu rocks and sand rock relics in the sea erosion platform area.
