金門縣891金湖鎮海印寺1號
The Haeyang Temple, built during the Song Dynasty, has a history of more than 800 years. Because it is located in a mountain hollow at the top of Taewu Mountain, it was formerly called Taewu Yan Temple. From a distance, the shape of Taewu Mountain resembles a reclining hermit. Locals describe Taewu Mountain as "Xianren Yan Di" (a celestial being lying on the ground), a place imbued with spiritual energy. The Haeyang Temple, built upon it, has always been bustling with worshippers. Every ninth day of the first lunar month, which is "Tian Gong's Birthday," residents of Kinmen will go up the mountain to the Haeyang Temple to pray, making it one of the religious festivals in Kinmen. Next to the temple, there are bell and drum towers named Longlou (Dragon Tower) and Fengge (Phoenix Pavilion). The mountain spring water in the Zhan Yue Pool in front of the temple is clear and fresh. The large copper bell in the bell tower weighs more than 750 kilograms. Legends say that the sound of the bell can be heard for 30 miles. The image of a hidden temple in the mountains needs no explanation. Visitors to the Haeyang Temple often come to see the stone gate inscribed with "Hai Shan Diyi" (First under the Sea and Mountains) and the "Anxin Stone" (Peace Stone) said to contain dragon veins and bring peace to the heart.
