The intersection of the extended sections of Chengde Road and Fuguo Road, which is also an important location where the cross-axis green corridor converges, is a wetland park called Zhoumei Yezhai Park, which combines flood control, recreation, and ecology, covering an area of approximately 30,818 square meters.
The original old Shuangxi River within the park, except for retaining the riverbank slope, serves as a forebay for the pumping station. During flood periods, it provides flood retention space for the park area, while during normal times, it serves as a community leisure wetland park. On the eastern side of the river, a shallow area has been planned as a grassy wetland area, with a complete environment that is not easily disturbed by human activities, making it a good habitat for land birds to feed and reproduce.
From the park, you can enjoy the ecological scenery of the river's grassy wetlands, and also have a distant view of the magnificent mountain shapes of Qixing Mountain and Datun Mountain range. The park facilities include scenic paths, water-viewing platforms, pedestrian arch bridges, rest pavilions, and walking trails for sightseeing.
