Gifts, the Integration and Transmission of the Times
Walking along Jinhua Street in Da'an District, Taipei, it's like stepping through time into a traditional Japanese street. Jinhua Street was once the residence of many Japanese officials. These buildings, now nearly 80-90 years old, were the boundary between Fushucho and Nishimachi during the Japanese colonial era in Taiwan. The Japanese residences in Nishimachi belonged to the staff quarters of the Forestry Division of the Governor-General's Office of Taiwan. The residences were mostly single-family and semi-detached official houses, one-story Japanese wooden buildings with traditional Japanese hip roofs, covered with wooden rainboards. The main wood used was cypress. Under the "Cultural Movement of Old Buildings" by the Cultural Bureau of Taipei City Government and the planning of civilian teams, these buildings have been given a new life. Jinjinmachi is like a memory box, containing many stories. The historical and cultural context of the space itself, here we give it the possibility of innovation!

If we deconstruct the objects in nature, everything can be reduced to the most basic geometry of points, lines, and planes, constantly moving and evolving, forming the world we are familiar with.
Jinjinmachi is a tribute to such a simple natural form, using a pure and clear geometric composition as its brand concept. It returns the shape of pastries to the most minimal form, adding only a touch of color and a little texture. More importantly, it draws an analogy to the human relationships beyond the flavor, increasing the storytelling and emotional value of pastries. Through delicate pastries, we cross the quadrants of human relationships, adding a little emotional seasoning and a little story embellishment, making the act of giving gifts between people a clear geometric relationship, simple and straightforward to convey feelings.
